Another big week in the SFL with four big matchups. It all started on ANZAC Day with the Battle of the South as Dwellingup travelled down the road to visit South Mandurah. The Falcons proved too strong with a 87 to 9 win proving they are well and truly in Premiership contention.
We headed into Sunday with three big fixtures. Firstly, we had the Beechboro Bombers on a short road trip to Midland to face the Tigers. The Tigers were looking to open their account in season 2025 against a strong Beechboro unit looking to back up good win in Round 1. Unfortunately Midland were unable to get that win with Beechboro running out big winners with a 123 to 19 victory sending them to the top of the SFL ladder.
Next we had Bulldogs vs Bulldogs as Innaloo visited Queens Park. With both teams coming of Round 1 losses they were both keen to get their first four points of the year. It was all Innaloo as they came out fast with a six goal first quarter and were never headed. It ended up being a big win for Innaloo in a 140 to 17 contest.
Finishing out the Round we had Koongamia host Balga. After a Round 1 loss Koongamia were looking to bounce back against a premiership fancy in Balga. It didn't go quite to plan for the Koongamia Crows as the Balga Bombers ran out comprehensive winners, 117 to 54.
